The Women’s Sports Foundation created the International Women’s Sports Hall of Fame in 1980, and we’re proud that it now has a well-deserved permanent home at the Billie Jean King International Women’s Sports Center. The Hall of Fame recognizes women athletes and coaches who have made history in women’s sports. The Hall of Fame Selection Committee is comprised of journalists, historians and current Hall of Fame members, and it chooses new members based on achievements, breakthroughs, innovative style and an ongoing commitment to women’s sports.
The International Women’s Sports Hall of Fame offers visitors a chance to celebrate the legendary women champions from around the world who have paved the way for future generations of athletes.
