Beach Volleyball
Beach volleyball is big! Over 50 million players worldwide have dedicated their lives to the most popular summer sport around the globe and have made the beach their home. Sand courts and unpredictable weather conditions demand a radical, physical stamina from each participant. In the beach game, teams consist of two, four or six players. Yet, with just two people covering the court, players learn to anticipate plays and improve their jump, where they're blocking and hitting each rally. The object? A player uses any part of their body, above the waist, in just three hits or less, to send the ball flying back in the opponent's face. Players can use one or both hands in three different ways -- open hand, closed fist or clasped together. Scoring is based on a rally point system.
